Today is a sad day.
My big boy Oscar was laid to rest this afternoon. No more pain or suffering. He is a complete and total rest now.
After suffering with some ailments and loosing his ability to walk it was time to put him to rest.
I love that big boy! He was great with the other animals. Always protecting them in some form or fashion. He was the alarm when one of the others got out of the fence. He even enjoyed playing with other dogs that came to visit. Oscar brought many smiles and laughter. I am soooooooooo glad he was in our lives.
Some of his names other than Oscar were as follows: Os, O, Bigun, Big Boy, Oscar De La Hoya, Oscar Meyer Weiner, and many others.
Thanks for the memories Os! You are loved!

Life has a way of taking crazy twists and turns. Today, after reading a blog regarding being thankful (thanks Rebekah) I have decided to list some things I am thankful for. Election
Wow.....can you believe the elections have come and gone.
Was it worth it to make history if the candidate has issues one doesn't agree with. I feel that voting for some just because they are a minority isn't right. Issues should be the reason the vote was cast.
Even though the new president is not the man I voted for I will uphold him in prayer. It is time for the country to band together on our knees and pray for wisdom.
God bless America!

Friends that are more like sisters
If you are an only child you may be able to relate to this.
Last night I was having a break down. There are several things going on in life right now that are difficult for me: jobless, overweight, depressed, bad health of my mom, etc. You get the point.
Well, I don't have any siblings that I can call and have them feel the same pain. I do have wonderful, godly women in my life that are as close as any sister could be. Last night when I was in the midst of my break down my dear friend asked if she could call one of our other friends to pray. Of course my answer was yes! We prayed and talked and I felt a release.
I just want to say THANK YOU to all the sisters in Christ that uplift and encourage their sisters.
God bless!
